Sharing QOE Jobs on a Peer to Peer Network
Only on Workgroup (peer-to-peer) Networks
If your network consists of computers in a workgroup rather than on a domain, a local Windows user account must exist for each user that will be accessing the database on your computer. IMPORTANT: The user names and passwords must match what has been established on the remote users' computers. These instructions assume this has already been done.
Make sure the Local Security Policy setting for Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts is set to Classic.
Here is how to check this policy setting and change it if necessary:
- Click on the Start button and then Control Panel.
- Click on System and Security, click on Administrative Tools, and then double-click on Local Security Policy.
- In the Local Security Policy window, expand Local Policies, and click on Security Options. Scroll down in the list of policies to find Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts.
- If the Security Setting for Network access: sharing and security model for local accounts is Guest only, then double-click on Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts, and in the property window, select Classic- local users authenticate as themselves, and then click OK.
