When Olaf Gerhardt assumed ownership of the semicustom cabinet shop in January of 1997, he had a distinctive business plan in mind — to focus only on high-end custom cabinetry. Following this philosophy, Gerhardt has turned Tischlerei (German for cabinetmaking or cabinetmaker's workshop) into a multi-million dollar enterprise serving three major markets in addition to its local clientele: Chicago's North Shore area; the resort areas in Vail, Aspen and Glenwood Springs, CO; and Colorado Springs, CO.
